Once you learn the frameworks and how it works, you are now ready to create content for Happiness Workshop and Coaching Sessions.
Through supportive dialogue and exercises your happiness coach gives you the skills to simplify and improve your quality of life and help you to create the life that you want for yourself. Your coach opens you to new opportunities for finding your personal joy!. So go ahead be the happiness coach!
Happiness is not a discrete aspect that can be increased by turning a dial. It can keep varying from situation to situation and a number of other elements, such as a person’s perspective about life. It is also connected to other aspects of a person’s life - Example career, relationships, wealth, personal and spiritual growth, ability to give to society, etc.
So what a coach can do is to look at how a client is doing in these different aspects and then based on that score, try to help the client achieve balance across these aspects.
For example, a client may be doing really well in her career but maybe struggling with her relationships and a few other areas. This could be because of the client’s excessive focus on career (maybe because of some of her values or beliefs she holds about what is important in life).
This constant drive could have upset the balance in her life - when it comes to other aspects like relationships, fun, etc. this, in turn, could increase stress and make her unhappy.
A good coach would help her identify these hidden values and beliefs, and help her gain more harmony and balance in life. This would lead to her leading a much more happier life.
This does not mean that everything becomes alright after a few sessions with a coach. Life is a long journey. things can change quickly and the balance can get affected again later due to some other reason. We may not always need a coach to fix issues. Sometimes a good book, a good chat with loved oned can bring about significant changes in life.
But sometimes it’s better to work with a good coach who can act as a guide and an accountability partner for you. “Happiness Coach” term is a way of positioning oneself as a Coach.
When someone completes a program they choose their audience type and expertise in an area of life and may call them self as Wellness/ Business/ Performance/ Relationship/ Parenting/ Teens Coach etc. There is no limit to what you specialize in and come up with your own way to position yourself.
